Verify Your PayPal With Local Bank

Okay, now I just want to talk about how to verify your PayPal account, assuming that you already have an account with PayPal but do not have a credit card to verify it. Frankly, I had this trouble (to verify my PayPal account) for 2 years because the information I get is never enough. But recently I tried to find more information about how to verify your PayPal account using a local bank account in Indonesia, and finally I can do it!

First, we discuss a little about "what is PayPal?"

PayPal is an Internet bank, they save money online with ecurrency (electronic money), where then you can spend the money to shopping online, or can withdraw cash by transferring them to local banks (BCA or Mandiri or otherwise), you also can transfer to Credit / Debit Card, and Cheques can also be sent using the send to your home and get to your hand about 2-3 weeks to the outside of the United States.

How To Use The Bank Account For Verification?

Okay, I did this way in January 2011. Because someone said that if the old ways are not possible any longer.

Before doing the below, you must fill out the bank account data by using the menu: Profile, Add / Edit Bank Account.
You will be in order to enter the bank name, bank code (can be seen at the bottom of the list of bank codes), and account number.

• First, you must send an email using a web pay pal.
• Find the link "contact us".
• Then click on "send us".
• Select "Bank Account / Credit Card" (Select Bank Account)
• Then fill in the summary of written questions:

I have problem on verifying my PayPal account since I don't have credit card and I would like to verified my PayPal account using local Indonesian bank account.

Here should be written in English, because when using the Indonesian language was not responded.

Once sent, wait about 1 day. There will be an answer from the PayPal. Please read this first email from PayPal :

Hello Yuli Yustia Sari ,

I am Jane from the PayPal Customer Service Team. I am happy to assist you with your question regarding your PayPal account.

According to your email, I understand you have problem of verifying your PayPal account since you have no credit card. Please do not worry, we can get your account verified manually.

Because the information requested about yourself and proof of account ownership, then I send the scanner of my ID card and savings book to the PayPal email. Quite the front that shows the bookkeeper's name, bank account number and stamp. I am here using my passbook stages of BCA.

After reply the email, next two email comes. The second email stating that the request is being processed and the last email that comes is of consent and verified.

The process is not too difficult and not long-winded.

Advantages of verification of using a bank account is there is no additional charge for credit cards or VCC (Virtual Credit Card) which of course must be renewed every year. While the upgrade to the the Premier is also needed when you are serious about making money on the Internet, because your income will be more than $ 200 USD per month.

Here are the emails I got, you can see that every email has been answered by different people, because the officers of PayPal not only one person (the one that handled me was from PayPal Singapore team), and each has a different authority.

I got this one as a reply because the files that attached on my email was too small, so PayPal cannot see them clearly :D Thus, i send back the email with files that bigger #smileyicon

Dear Yuli Yustia Sari,

We have reviewed the documents you provided carefully, but unfortunately we can’t get your account verified based on you haven’t provided us the correct documents and our policy.

Your bank statement is ok, but your photo ID (Identification Card/Driver License/Passport) is too dim to read.

So please send us again this bank statement to manualverify@paypal.com:

Please send the new documents(less than 500KB) again.

Oops, apparently this is not the last email, because in this email the agent also said there will be an email survey regarding the service of Paypal (read the section in green above). I do not know if this always happens or not every time we send an email about request / assistance to PayPal, but this is what was happened to me #smileyicon

I felt very happy while reading this email, felt like wanna jumping up and down! Because it takes a long time until finally my Paypal account got verified. It had been several times tried with a credit card but always failed hehe .. Know how long the failure? More than two years! # LOL

Well, the last step is try to withdraw the money and ask PayPal to send it to my bank account registered in PayPal (in this case I used my BCA account). Fyi, this money was held back at PayPal since 2009 because of the problem of verification # LOL

You can do this using the PayPal web form (select the tab withdrawal). Here's a reply from PayPal using email :

As simple as that, right?

PS. Please do not forget that PayPal charged you Rp 16.000 when your withdrawal is less than Rp1.499.999 and free of charge when the money is Rp1.500.000 or more.
